Five-Star Quality Rating System: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) created this rating system as a way to help patients decide where they want to receive care by providing more information about dialysis center performance. DaVita continues to be a leader in the industry for the fourth year, with 93 percent of our centers rated with three-, four- or five-stars this year compared to 86 percent for the rest of the industry! Notably, this is the highest percent of three-, four- and five-star rated centers that DaVita has ever had.* To learn more about the CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System, check out these frequently asked questions.
Quality Incentive Program (QIP): QIP is part of CMS's end stage renal disease (ESRD) program to encourage dialysis centers to meet or exceed certain performance standards. DaVita centers outperform the industry in the top clinical performance tier.
