Real butter is actually more healthy than margarine which is full of petroleum products, but most people with no food knowledge don't know this! Dietitian comment: Actually margarine is made with various vegetable oils. This recipe does call for real butter but it's up to the user to follow their own plan and adjust ingredients as needed.
The protein is too high. Is this recipe ok for CKD? I asumed that the protein per day is up to 64 g. Kindly enlighten me. I like the recipe but I need confirmatio of the protein. Dietitian comment: If your daily protein goal is 64 grams you can easily include this recipe with 11 grams of protein. Plus, it's providing high quality protein source in egg which makes it an even better choice.
I tried this recipe with my wife and she was in awwwww!
Why can't I use raw red pepper to lower the sodium content? Moderator comment: Yes you can use fresh peppers!
Used this recipe this morning, but used green peppers, omitted the worcstershire sauce and cream cheese. Don't know the nutrient content, though.
